I didn't get past the initial query stage with this agent, but I appreciate the rapid response - from submission to a polite stock email reply in under a week. Many agents will say "if you haven't heard from us within x weeks, assume you've been unsuccessful" - this agent actually says, "if you haven't heard from us within x weeks, chase us at the following address". The online form submission process works well, too. Would query again with a different project!

Personalized query for Julia but rejection was from department not the agent. Did she even see it? What does San Diego really mean? I guess its one of those mysteries we will never know ; )

Given how the rejection letter is phrased for this agent, are we to assume a rejection from her is a rejection from the whole agency? Their website doesn't say specifically.

**UPDATE**

I emailed the agency, asking the above question, and this was their response: "You may submit to a different agent as long as you disclose that you have submitted to us previously."

Good luck, everyone!
