Request (for additional PB mss) - 4/24/19
ER - 5/5/19

She was friendly and sent a nice rejection letter, indicating that although she liked my original, NF PB submission, she didn't connect with my other pieces. She did invite me to query again in the future with other submissions.

Thank you for your query and interest in representation by Martin Literary Management. I regret that MLM is unable to take you on as a client at this time. We receive many queries a week and as such we must turn down many projects that might have great commercial potential.

Please know I personally read each query and that some of these rejections are based strictly on the subject of material, which may not be an appropriate fit for my interests. Also remember that sometimes, writers endure long terms of rejection before they find the winning combination for themselves. They refused to give up, as I hope you will continue to do.
I wish you all the best in pursuit of publishing this project.

I replied (against my better judgment) to the form rejection asking very nicely for any bit of feedback as to why this agent didn't connect with my writing, but never heard back. It was a long-shot, but because my story closely matched something on her MSWL, I was very hopeful about this one. Pretty bummed, but not giving up!
