She apologized for being "embarassingly behind" on responding back to queries, and oh my goodness, she gave me the most helpful and sweetest rejection letter including a lot of referrals to agents who might be interested, and that my project is a book that she'd definitely read, with warm and sweet compliments to my writing. Her reason for passing was that neither she nor anyone in the agency would be a good fit, because they don't have the knowledge and editorial contacts for my particular story and genre. That everything she said was personalized made her already extremely helpful and kind rejection even more so!
