Thanks Utopiandreams. I get that CNR means "closed no response"; is there a tab or link somewhere for other submission abbreviations? I've had to go solely by others' examples. Appreciate the input.

CwSchurman, average positive response time is 8 weeks, and their site says, "We regret that due to the volume of submissions we receive, we can only respond to queries if we are interested in seeing more material."
So no response means no for all. Maybe give it another month then CNR?

@eflora yeah agreed... it looks like she hasn't responded to anyone in a long time (for a request or for a reject). I guess maybe she's happy with her list and not acquiring right now?

I can't tell if Sarah is just really behind or not requesting from anyone. It's been so long since (QT at least) showed any responses that aren't CNRs!

Well, apparently she was only taken by the first three chapters as I never heard from her again. This was my fault. I have two books and I was so nervous that I sent her the wrong word count, which probably turned her off, too.

Then I got some really sweet revision notes from an agent and when I emailed Sarah to ask if I could send them to her, nothing.

Sighs. The revisions were so good too. I think she would have fallen in love with the newest version, which bumped the word count to 70K. And I was able to fix some errors my critique partner and I noticed way too late. But in this profession, we only get one shot and I blew it with this one. So I’ll take the L.
