I wonder if this agent is even active anymore. He has no responses good or bad in the past year, no website. Anyone know anything about him.

He does have an email address over here. I've queried both Jim and Melissa for Venom and was turned down by both. Will be trying Melissa today for Chain Reaction.

12.1: 11/9, I've sent him a snail mail query. Today I've heard back from him. Jim turned it down--passed, don't believe they can sell it successfully. Will try Melissa in 2012.

Any recent experience with Jim Donovan, anyone?

I just read an interview with him at http://www.mediabistro.com/galleycat/lit-agent-jim-donovan-get-published-before-youre-published_b11303 where he says he accepts a synopsis and 30-50 pages for fiction. It looks like snail mail only.

See my comment for Melissa Schultz. I forgot to update the wrong agent. Same as previous commenter.

6/21--I've sent my query to Jim Donovan. Today I've gotten a rejection letter from Ms. Schultz. See below comment. Will try Jim Donovan later this year for CR.
