She thanked me a few minutes later, about 6am New York time. (Definitely a sincere team member).
I attended a writer's event. I asked to send my revised work to her when done, if she hadn't read my words yet. 07/17
She said, "of course and to send when done." 07/18
Resent my work the day before Sea Witch by Sarah Henning hit shelves. Big day for her, and was hoping it would add to her day. 07/30
With Sea Witch sliding over shelves, she responds on 07/31
Gave friendly nudge 09/20
10/2 Kind and encouraging rejection letter.
While I wait on my perfect fit to respond to me, and I encourage y'all to do the same, get the mailing list together for pre-launching. Update your blogs, twitter, face-pages, and other social media memberships you're a part of. Maybe even become members with the slant of your author status. Clean your profiles of unwanted advertisements and do some networking with those you're linked to. Not pushy but letting people know you exist and are a positive individual. Make it easy on your future agent, will ya? Set-up your website or do your research for what website provider you'll use and supplies you'll need to accommodate visitors. Start marketing initiatives and pre-launch ideas for success.
You see, the thing is that agents know the business, but they can't do ALL the heavy lifting. Your books are, and will only be, as good as your continuing effort. Here's a tidbit for you guys. Fifty Shades of Grey was a self-published novel based on a fan fiction dialog for Twilight lovers. The writing was poor, BUT... the fan base was already there. She had done her marketing and became a success. She was an Indie author, y'all.

5/11/18 - She sent a thank-you email confirming the receipt. I love being pleasantly surprised by politeness like that.
10/4/18 - I wrote to rescind the full, as another project I have is getting a stronger response and is more promising. She invited me to query that MS when I'm done with revisions. There isn't a rescind option, so I just put "Rejected," but Whitney had not yet gotten to my work.

To note, when I rescinded, she was super sweet about it; said she understood and wished me luck as well. Politeness goes a long way. :)

Thank you for your query! I so appreciate the opportunity to review your work, but I’m afraid that it’s just not the best fit for my list at this time. Don’t be discouraged, though. Publishing is a marathon, not a sprint, and you just need one person to catch that shared vision. Best of luck to you!

For those who asked: I had a Full Request in February and got a rejection in June with helpful, specific comments (not a form.) Hope that helps!
