Full request!: 12/5/19
Manuscript and detailed synopsis sent the same day.
Confirmation of receipt 12/6/19. I got the same auto response I received after sending my query within a few minutes after sending materials, but the following morning I got an email from Whitney just saying thanks, so make sure you look for that second personalized one.

cshumble, did she get back to you to confirm receipt? Similar situation here. Emailed her my manuscript a bit ago, but am experimenting with some changes.

After doing some reading on here, I've surmised that she can be nonresponsive after getting a manuscript. Is that true?

FM and Synopsis submitted 10/7/19 Still awaiting response.

YA Fantasy/ Horror Set in Gilded Age NYC. 89550 words. I would like to point out that on her twitter feed she specifically stated she was looking for something set in Gilded Age NYC (on September 24th). I was actually going to submit to one of her colleagues (who has an excellent reputation for YA Fantasy), but then I took a second look at WR's site and double-checked her Twitter on September 26th and caught her comment. I believe that is why she responded so quickly. I have not yet heard back. I don't expect to hear for at least another 2-3 weeks, positive or negative. Update on 11/12/19: Still no word after requesting FR last May. I considered nudging again earlier in the year, but I didn't know if it would do any good, so I'm assuming she passed on it.

No word. I like to imagine a ‘yet’ at the end of the sentence because I like to be hopeful and no one else is interested. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
