I also got the same rude response for the same error of misgendering them. At first I felt bad and shocked for this but from the comments left on here for this very reason it looks like a common occurrence for them to send such a unforgiving message. Actually, I am glad they refused my submission because I can only imagine the horror show of working with them.

Rudest reply ever...Claire needs to do better with the next query from an author. I've never encountered such a nasty, rude, vindictive, miserable, agent, that's filled with hatred in my life. I have no idea how AU stays in business. Claire should be ashamed of the lack of professionalism shown on THEIR end.
