Form query: 8/9/23
Update: 1/1/2024

Dear Señorita,

No updates. It's still under consideration on my side. I understand if you would like to withdraw it and move on as it's taken me a while to give it the deep dive I want to. I do plan to tackle my inbox before I reopen to queries. I've just been very busy with client work.

Happy New Year.

Best wishes,
Ann

It's now 2/1/2023 and still nothing, but I am nevertheless hopeful.

A very kind response to a nudge (Q 10/16/2023; Nudge 1/30/2024; response 1/31/2024):

Thanks for checking in. As you can tell, I'm grossly behind in my query box. I've been extremely busy with client work which is a great problem to have, but it also means I don't have the spoons for all the things. I hope to get caught up shortly.

Thank you for your patience.

Best wishes,
Ann

(I wasn't trying to make more work for her, I just hated to query one of her colleagues without making sure she wasn't interested in my project!)

It's been 76 days since sent my query when I got a like from her regarding my pitch during an event. I reached out to her a few weeks ago, and she responded saying she 'still needed more time to consider it'. Not sure what to make of it, since it was not even a partial, just the first 3 chapters...

Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to review XXX. While there is much to admire here, I'm going to have to step aside. I do wish you the best of luck in finding just the right champion for this. I also hope you will consider me for future work.

Best wishes,
Ann
