MelissaLazzarinRguez: It can be, yes. I think some of them like getting a small taste of the beginning for tone, style, hook, etc., before committing to a full. I'm sure it also helps them get through their queue quicker since it's not as many pages to read and if the first few pages don't grab them they can get back to the writer faster than if it was a full.

I sent the query letter on 20/03/2020, got requested for the first three chapters of my book the next day. She seems really nice and professional.
Is it common to be asked for a sample?

Rewbooks: no confirmation but the screen said thank you so I assume it went through. I found the form very difficult to work with. Format was thrown off and the box was so tiny for all the content they requested.

Did anyone get a confirmation of receipt after submitting the form? I didn’t get anything and I tried emailing the office a week or so ago to make sure it was in the system, but never heard back.

Did anyone else find it very difficult to use their forms? The box to input the query letter, first three chapters and synopsis was so tiny, my eyes hurt lol. And forget formatting, all that went out the window. Or was it just me lol?

2/11: Sent requested materials from PitchWars showcase
3/16: Form rejection. Different from others listed but pretty sure it's just a form for requested material.
