Rejection from Stephen's assistant, Erica: 6-3-22
It was a very nice rejection and she said my graphic novel had a lot of charm, it just wasn't quite connecting with them
nudge w/ offer of rep 4/28/22
rejection/ step aside 4/29

Sent a (too) long, funny, deeply-researched, highly personalized cri de coeur/query to Mr Barr that delivers precisely on his mswl desire for ghost stories “that blow reality to hell” only to receive the usual "many charms" for rejection from assistant McGrath. Pages unread. I have been published by Penguin, 4th Estate, MacMillan and others. I was once represented by Pat Kavanagh, as well as agents from ICM and WME. This is the 120th rejection for this ms. I am absolutely dumbfounded.

Polite step aside from his assistant; I'm grateful for the speed, even if it is a form
I’ve reviewed your submission with Stephen and I’m sorry to report that we just aren’t wholeheartedly connecting with your work, despite its many charms. So, we should step aside. We truly appreciate the look, though, and hope you find someone who is passionate about your project and confident in their ability to position it. We wish you nothing but the best of luck.
