Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

I actually forgot about this one, so it was nice to hear from her. She was very apologetic about being so late getting back to me.

11/25: Rejection explaining she had set aside a few queries to consider further. No personal feedback, but it's nice to know her assistant liked it enough to pass it along

Figured I was past the first round as per the responses below, but resent 10/31 just in case. Got a quick response from one of the agency readers that my query had made it past her and is on Kristin's desk. Whee!
Kind and personal rejection on 11/25. She is classy as ever. Good luck to all of you!

Re-sent EQ on 11/15/16 after no reply.
ER: 11/25/16 - I received a lovely complimentary note of rejection based on the August query, apologizing for the delay.

So, I don't know if this means she saw the query I sent in Nov (in which I mentioned the August query) and that prompted her to respond now, or whether she's still going through old queries. I would say, if you have a neglected query from August or early September and you don't hear a response in the next week or so, you might have better luck getting a response by re-querying.

Hi Jenñifer C. Kristen was at a conference last weekend. There are a few open manuscripts around yours on the timeline and many rejected ones. Seems like waiting would be a good idea. Best of luck to you!

@Willworkforbooks Thanks! I'll probably just keep waiting too.

Good luck!

@JenniferC I queried on 8/30 and haven't heard anything. I got a quick rejection for my last manuscript, so I'm hanging tight until the holidays are over before I ask whether mine was received. It seems as though everyone who has asked has been told that their query is sitting on Kristin's desk.
