Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

(This one really stung. I participated in her query intensive webinar, and she said that she might drop down to read the sample pages, but if I tightened my pitch then she definitely would. It must be my sample pages? I also hired a freelance editor with 15 years experience, so I can't understand the problem)

If you check Kristin's Twitter feed @agentkristinNLA , you'll see she's been in Hawaii for at least a week or maybe two, at the writers' conference there and then on vacation (quoting her -- I swear I'm not a stalker), so this may account for slow response times -- I'm waiting, too :-)

i know the feeling. I've had two agents I had full requests from and then a pass. Meanwhile, i had another agent who offered but I wasn't sure if i wanted to go with that or not and the other two played it like it was a project they would love to represent but it turned out that it wasn't. I was so mad.
I've querried Kristin a while a go and still no word.
keeping my fingers crossed.
