Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

@BdreaK, I'm sorry to hear about the R. I hope her comments help in some way. Thanks for the help you've been here.

Aw, I'm sorry about the R, BreaK. I'm glad it was personal, at least? I'm sure the wait meant she was really thinking about it.

EQ: 8-4-16 but after 3 weeks with no response, I resent on 8-29-16 and got a response today (9-9-16) from her assistant that the query was on her desk waiting for review.
ER: 9-28-16 Very kind, seemingly personalized rejection.

I still haven't heard back but like someone said, she's been traveling and working so I think she's just unusually behind. Here's the email that I got from her assistant: "This is Jamie, one of Kristin’s first-round readers. Your query made it past me and is now sitting on Kristin’s desk for her review. She’s been a bit behind on her reading lately but will get to it very soon! Thanks so much for your patience and please keep us appraised of any offers you receive in the meantime."

So, I think at this point no response is good, instead of no response means no. Hope that helps everyone waiting.

I'm relieved to see the recent comments here and that I'm not the only one waiting and wondering if my query got lost. Every other query in QT on the same day as mine (8/30) shows no proof of being answered, either, so I've been concerned. There's a query from 8/12 which was rejected as recently as 9/20. I hope that's a sign as to where she is in her pile of queries to look at more closely. But maybe that's just wishful thinking. I'll keep watching but if nothing changes in a week or two, I'll probably resubmit.

She's likely just crazy busy. If you look at her FB it looks like she's been travelling and doing Agent things :-P. I would be surprised actually if she doesn't peruse her junk folder for QUERY subject lines.

I've got a submission from 8/20 and haven't heard back. They are probably all waiting to get a closer look.

@bdreak and @hcorcoran I haven't heard back yet. My query was sent 08/16. I think I'll resubmit next week just in case it hit the spam folder

"Thank you so much for thinking of me for your query. I wish I could offer a more personalized response but on average, I receive 500+ email query letters a week. Do know that every query letter and sample are read and even though your project is not right for me, it might be right for another agent so don’t give up! I’m also sorry I have no agent recommendations to offer. Good luck with all your publishing endeavors. Sincerely..."

Is there a reference anywhere explaining all of the acronyms used in comments? I just joined QT. Thanks!

@BdreaK, I submitted on 8/3 and still haven't heard back, so this gives me hope!
