Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Hi April,

In terms of getting a reply to your query, my understanding from previous queries and just looking at their track record on Data Explorer is that this agency is a non-responder unless they want to see more of your MS.

So you'll see a lot of "CNRs" (closed-no response). Plus they've got one of the worst request rates. Meaning, I wouldn't expect any answers from them.

Please let us know, however, if they do give a response.

I sent a query on feb 9th/14 with a follow up March 26th/14 as i've noticed that even if it is a rejection they still send at least a form letter back. So fingers crossed I will here something from them soon.

Ozzy: Preditors & Editors, a site I use religiously to doublecheck agencies and agents, shows no red flags for them. It also indicates they have confirmed sales and is a recommended agency. Good luck!

Like CorinneDuyvis, I submitted directly to Monica Pacheco, as directed by the agency blog post "what we are looking for in 2010" (

I just queried Monica Pacheco, one of her agents, who is interested in genre fiction among other things. (See also this page:

Is she eligible for an agent profile of her own or should I enter my data here?

ETA: just in case anyone else is checking this, I got a full request two days later. The query was sent to Monica's personal address, as indicated in the blog post.
