Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Rejection after about one month. The rejection came from Catherine Cho on behalf of Jonny Geller. The letter was a helpful rejection, offering some advice on my query and my opening chapters. I appreciated the thoughtful response, although the writer of the letter did get my MC's name wrong.

Had a pitch favorited during their #PitchCB and submitted. Received a rejection email with helpful, personalized feedback. Knew it was a long shot but was happy with my experience. TY!

I submitted to Mr. Geller but received a response that was signed by the "New Writing Team."

I'm confused, as the response was very encouraging and asked for me to submit more work to "me." I have no clue if the "me" in question is actually Mr. Geller, or is the New Writing Team. Ah, well. It was a lovely rejection either way.

I believe all agents are currently open to submissions now. They've opened a new dept. called Curtis Brown Creative and seem to be inviting new material:

Looks like he's closed: "At the present time, Jonny Geller's list is full and he is not accepting unsolicited manuscripts."

The website currently says "You should send manuscripts addressed to the Submissions Department as follows:

A covering letter
A brief synopsis
Three chapters of the work on A4 paper, in double-spaced type on one side of the sheet only (do not bind or staple your work and remember to print your name and a contact number/email address on the cover of your manuscript).
A self-addressed stamped envelope if you want us to return your work.

1. Can I submit my work via e-mail or fax?

No, at the moment the Book department can only accept submissions through the post."

I take it that submissions means queries.

I have queried Elizabeth Sheinkman at this agency. Awaiting a reply.

Some of the agents listed to the right are with Curtis Brown USA. Per my understanding, Curtis Brown UK, where Jonny Geller is employed, is a completely separate agency.
