Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

I was referred by his client David Baldacci. Someone says Aaron walks on water, and he does, or at least heused to. He's at least 76 years old. But he's known for making writers by auctioning off first novels, which he did for Baldacci and at least one other writer I know.

I sent him an earlier draft of my novel a year ago, and he had another agent in his firm, Nicole James, reply with a detailed critique. I rewrote the novel, using that critique and resubmitted today.

Rather curious problem. Aaron requested my entire manuscript today (A thriller, 96,000 words) yet when I e-mail it, it is bouncing back undeliverable with a message stating his mailbox is full.

D'oh.

Hello... I had gotten rejected by one agent and wanted to submit to another one at the same agency. Their website states not to query more than one agent at the ageny but I'm not sure if they're referring to submitting to more than one at the same time or different times. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

katieb: You might try sending another status query by snail mail with an SASE. Sometimes that gets their attention.

Like the instant automated response to let you know that they received the query. I wish all the agents had that. Just sent my query. Keeping my fingers crossed.

LoweyJackson: Not only is he 'Harlan Coban's agent, after all,' but rumor has it he also walks on water...Aaron Priest...not Harlan...Harlan only writes on water...he has this really nice place right on the water where Aaron Priest often comes to walk on it, after all.

Sent an e-query on 1/27/10. Auto reply with six week window. No reply. Can't say I was surprised. He is Harlan Coben's agent, after all!
