Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Thanks, y'all! I got another rejection, but I'm okay with it. I feel okay about it because I feel strongly about this query and have had some positive responses from it. I'm okay with knowing that it truly isn't right for her, rather than having it turned down just because I'm an idiot. ;) I would like to work with her, though. Maybe another project. She just seems super nice.

Zeldamar - thank you for the feedback. I've been worried about this all day. I worded the re-query very carefully, telling her that I was new to the process and didn't know nearly as much as I thought I did when I began querying, and that I'd done some strong editing to the manuscript as well as the query to better represent the story, and would she mind taking a second look. I tried to be careful so as not to sound arrogant or pushy. I feel better, and I really hope she at least gives it a 2nd look. She might not take it, but I *really* like her and would love to have a shot at her.

Cathie, from what I know of Ms. Evans she seems very nice. I doubt she'd be angry. She may choose not to reconsider, but I really don't think you've burnt any bridges. And you can always query someone else at FinePrint.
