Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Sent follow-up in late May. Received note from assistant today stating the concept was intriguing, but that Robin had to be very selective, etc. etc.

From Robin's assistant Beth Miller: "Although this sounds like an interesting project, I'm afraid it isn't right for Robin. Her client list is very full right now, forcing her to be extremely selective about taking on anyone right now. I encourage you to continue submitting your query to other agents, and I truly wish you all the best in finding enthusiastic representation."

"Dear [name],

Thank you for your query for [title].

Although this sounds like an interesting project, I’m afraid it isn’t right for Robin. Her client list is very full right now, forcing her to be extremely selective about taking on anyone new.

I encourage you to continue submitting your query to other agents, and I truly wish you all the best in finding enthusiastic representation.

Thank you again for thinking of Robin.

Sincerely,

Beth Miller"

Submitted Query 2-24, got a letter back 3-15 with the same letter saying "Interesting premise but full list, go submit to other agents." At least Beth hand signed it.

1/9/13, I queried Robin with Chain Reaction. Today, I got a rejection letter from Beth, saying it was an interesting premise, but not right for her, plus she has a full list. I sent SImon Lipskar my CR query to him today in the mail.
