Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Hi, grrimacylon -

Both her Publishers Marketplace page and her AAR profile page show she does accept queries via email.

Is there a definitive ruling on whether or not Maureen accepts email queries? I'm sans-printer at the moment, so an e-query would be better for me. But if she prefers paper...

Thanks JLinton. I'll requery her on Monday. P.S. I've gotten a R from her today via mail. So I've gotten some closure.

Yeah. Requery her then by email. I only sent a query letter when I emailed, but after sending I saw other sites that said she's okay with sample writing. Double check that too, because getting to send a sample with the query is always helpful. She did though ask for an 'exclusive', which I wasn't able to grant. But they waved it and took the mss anyways. I think exclusives are her policy, so keep that in mind if you have other submissions. Good luck with the query. (BTW I sent it to the email address posted on agentquery.)

JLinton she did reject my query for Venom in 2010. According to here, she reps thrillers. I write thrillers/eco-thrillers and also romantic suspense. But Chain Reaction was a thriller. Maybe I'll equery her next month.

I would check her agentquery site. She might be a no response means 'no'. And also what genre is your manuscript. I think she only respresents, women fiction, romance, and mysteries. Double check on this info though to make sure. I also did a check on all her clients to make sure my mss was what her taste were. But then again you never know if your mss will the 'one.' Good Luck.

Yeah JLinton. But I sent her a snail mail query. Should I try her via email with a requery?

EQ 10/14/12 ? Not sure on that date
Partial request 11/15/12

Still waiting on response to submission, but on Maureen's agentquery I believe it says she only responds to email queries if interested. And I was asked to submit by her assistant. Hope that helps.

11/15/12, I sent Maureen my query for Chain Reaction. Two weeks ago, I sent her a snail mail nudge. Now, it's officially closed as a no response. I'll retry her in spring 2013.
