Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Query Guidelines

Include query letter with the first three pages of your manuscript in the body of the email. The subject line of your email should include the word “Query” along with the title of your manuscript.

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

I hear you, gowiththeflow. Not considering self publishing, but am resisting submitting to small presses. I keep hoping an agent will call.

Good luck, Patchi. I just keep telling myself that one day YA fantasy won't be as saturated, so even if nothing happens with this book right now, maybe I can sell it later on. Also, for the first time I'm considering self publishing because I'm so frustrated. Not sure I want to go down that road, though.

Hang in there gowiththeflow. I'm in the same boat. I was aiming for NA fantasy, but people encouraged me to stick to YA. NA hasn't taken off in spec fic, but YA is so saturated it's discouraging. Can't give up hope, though...

YA fantasy. She thinks the plot is too similar to what's already out there. I'm really regretting that I wrote a YA fantasy. This seems to be the absolute worst timing for it. Wish I'd known when I started it in 2014 that it would come off as so unoriginal now. *sigh*

Okay, fun story: someone in one of my FB books posted a link to an interview with Kate -- but it was a broken link, led through to gmail. Where I promptly had a rejection waiting.

She just posted on Twitter that she's caught up through April 1st. I sent mine before that and didn't get a response so I guess it got lost...gah!

Received form today on ya diverse fantasy. "Dear Author"

Yeah, no thanks. I didn't send my query addressed to Dear Agent.

Good luck to those still querying this agency, though!
