Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

On 4/41/6, I've requeried Robin with Chain Reaction. Today I've heard back with her--she passed, since she rarely rep thrillers.

Most pompous rejection letter ever.

Don't bother.

They ought to stick with a no response policy because this kind of attitude would never make me recommend them to anyone.I ordinarily never complain about getting a response but this was so arrogant that even if they came back and offered to be be agent exclusively and dedicate their lives to my work, I would tell them to go suck it.

I'm learning most of these people are not willing to work for the 15% of whatever measly advance the publisher gives...2000 or 3000...300 bucks is not worth it to them. They want to be a parasite on someone with an established following who is going to put money in their pocket without having to do a thing. They need those authors far more than the authors need them. No vision to see an author willing to invest in their book and build a brand. There are some hardworking ones out there who know how to grow their business...stick with the bigger houses that have the common sense to run a business by working at it from the ground up.(Writers House. Maass. Etc...)This is not that agency!!

On 2/5/16, I've requeried Venom to Robin-over the weekend she passed. (Taking on few new clients, small business). I'll try her with CR next month.

NF query 10-1-13
Rejection 11-4-13

Thank you for your interest in our agency. We have reviewed the information you sent regarding your book project and are sorry to report to you that we will not ask to consider the work for representation.
Please understand that we are a very small agency and take on practically no new clients. With limited time and personnel, we've learned to trust our instincts about whether there would be a good fit between a particular writer and us. We certainly recognize that we might well be passing up a good opportunity.
We wish you the best of luck in placing this with another agent and ultimately, a publisher.
Sincerely,
Logan Herries

Partial Request: 1/24
Rejection, mostly form, with some niceties: 2/11

Best of luck to anyone else out with a request. My request was very blunt, saying up front they were interested in seeing material but that they were taking on very few clients, so I was not getting my hopes to high to begin with. Hope others have better luck!
