Queried Mary Sue Seymour on 3/31/15 - received request for Partial same day (to send via snail mail). Mailed partial on the third week in April. Now the wait.

I was pleased with how quickly Mary Sue Seymour responded, first to my query and then to my partial. She requested a full, which I sent. She sent back edits, and I returned the revised ms in early November. She emailed in mid-January to let me know she was ready to read it, and then offered representation a week later.

Sent Mary Sue my first 50 back in August. She requested it again in late September. And corrections after that. Then just a few days ago she requested a full and exclusive. I really like what I hear about her. Hope it will be good news.

11/30/13 I received my letter from Mary Sue stating that she didn't think my manuscript had what she had thought it did (I sent it to Nicole, MS intercepted it), but she wants me to send it to Nicole because she said she would want! UGH!!! So I sent it to Nicole per Mary Sue's instructions. That's why I sent it to Nicole, it was her genre, not Mary Sue's. Good Grief! Hope she finally gets to see it. heehee

Not sure if many have heard, but an author that is with Mary Sue said that she received an email (forwarded to me to read as well) and it was from Mary Sue stating that she was diagnosed with cancer (can't remember what kind) and that she was aggressively seeking treatment and leaving almost immediately. (October if I remember right) So, her husband (who works with her as bookkeeper, and reader) and Nicole will be handling the reins for sometime to come.

We wish her well. She was supposed to be reading my entire manuscript exclusively, what do I do now?

I originally sent it to Nicole and Mary Sue intercepted it.

Mary Sue is taking pitches at CTRWA's Fiction Fest. September 21 in Mystic CT. It's a great local conference.

4/16/13 Received my SASE back expecting rejection. Wants entire manuscript, She wants me to edit my punctuation (I always put too much and miss some others) but also wanted to know if I would consider revising a little to double my sale potential! Well, she wants it back exclusively. So does that mean she wants a better look at it and will still prob reject it? I've seen a lot of people get rejected after reviews? I'm jazzed but apprehensive ya know?

3/30/13 50 pgs requested & synopsis. by SNAIL MAIL!!! HEhehehehehe anyone know how to do that anymore? hehehehehehee Sorry I'm tired! But excited!! First request since my termination!

3/29/13 EQ + 5 pgs Submitted. Unsure how this will work. She states Religious, but accepts romance. But not specifically Christian romance. sooooooo, my books are not dirty, (I'm a Christian too, but I do understand mild language) So not sure how this will work for her. Maybe I have a brain issue tonight and am not reading it correctly. I guess I'll soon see right!
