Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

Update 6/7: She is so unbelievably nice! I just wanted to make sure that she received the MS as I had not heard from her. She reassured me and let me know that she is behind on her submissions. I'm grateful for her kind response, and wish I could let her know...but don't want to bother her. HA!

Thank you for sending me a query letter describing your work. After careful evaluation, I have decided that I am not the right agent to represent your work. I can only properly represent materials that greatly excite or interest me. Since this is such a subjective business, I am sure another agent will feel quite differently about your work.

I wish you the best of luck finding representation with the right agent and good fortune with your writing career.

On 3/18/16, I've requeried Sandy Lu with Chain Reaction. Today I've heard back from her--she passed, not the right agent for it. But she said my sample pages for CR was a huge improvement than Venom's as a P.S. I'll try Leon in about two weeks with a new version of Venom via MSWL. Congrats Radownie!

ON 2/19/16, I've requeried Sandy Lu with Venom and heard back from her today with a pass--not the right agent for it. So I'll try her with Chain Reaction this spring.

ER: 1/29/16 after 3 nudges. Nearly 8 months from submission to rejection.

Edited: Ms. Lu finally got back to me, with a rejection. While I appreciate a response, given her lengthy turnaround times, I wouldn't recommend submitting unless you are a very patient person. She made no attempt to respond to my nudges, even though she told me to nudge her after 12 weeks (I waited 16).
