Dear Author,

Many thanks for sending us your submission. I’m afraid to say, however, that it won’t be a project we’ll be pursuing. We apologise for the form nature of this response but please know that we consider each submission carefully. Unfortunately owing to time constraints, and the number of submissions we receive, we're unable to provide individual feedback.

Our business is subjective by nature and another agency may well feel differently – we wish you all the best with your writing.

Yours sincerely,
The Mushens Entertainment Team

N/B: As someone who's been on/off querying, this is a mass-rejection emails written from the agency's team aka their office manager. THIS... happened all the time in the UK agencies. Especially query packages sent directly into their submission inbox shared by their agents. It could be also the submissions have been filtered/vetted by the office manager that 'knew' the agents' tastes BEFORE it gets to the chosen-agent. Or, perhaps, this is a mass-clearing method by the agents themselves.

Her webpage bio says she's looking for reimaginings of myths, fairy tales and folklore, but then says do not send her fantasy. That's a tricky demand. But also, her QT genres include Fantasy. Getting mixed signals here.

Always verify agent's information before sending your query, and review the agent's website(s) for more up-to-date information.

Though we do our best, QueryTracker can not guarantee the accuracy of any information provided.

An agent listing on QueryTracker is not an endorsement or recommendation of that agent by QueryTracker.

Before contacting an agent, authors should verify and assess the agent's requirements and suitability by visiting the agent's website(s), and becoming familiar with ways to spot and avoid bad agents. A good place to start is Writers Beware, a watch group that helps inform and protect authors from shady practices.
