Thanks so much for getting in touch again. I remember your previous novels and I was swept up in your prose here. You're a gorgeously atmospheric writer.
I'm afraid after deliberation, I didn't feel passionate enough to feel I could champion it in the way you deserve, however. I'm finding this market difficult at the moment and am having to be extremely selective in what I take on.
