Like I said, I'm not really capable of optimism, anymore. I lost that somewhere way back before I hit my 100th rejection with this book, so there's no real enthusiasm to dampen. But thank you for the clarification, Lucyamclaren.

Hi RD1981 - that second message reads like that standard reply she sends to submissions. Not that I want to dampen your enthusiasm, but also don't want you to get your hopes up too much!! But fingers crossed. :)

I received a message saying:
"Thank you for sending in your submission! I will read and come back to you as soon as I can.

Best wishes,

Lucy"
That's the second message. The first was an auto-reply saying that she was attending a book fair and may be slow to respond.
Given my experiences so far, optimism isn't really something I'm even capable of, anymore.
But should I take this as good sign?

@banana00 I received a confirmed submission reply from her after i sent a partial from a pitch like, but then she ended up never getting back to me (160+ days ago), so safe to say she'll just CNR in general, which is really unfortunate. Even after I nudged, no response, so that sucked :/ but such is the standard now I guess

I think it's safe to assume that she only sends a form confirmation to the submissions she wants to read? Don't see why else she would do this as it's not automatic. A lot of comments are CNR with no mention of form confirmation and the report shows many CNRs...
Does anyone have a clear answer?
