2/27 - Rejected: Thank you for the opportunity to read and consider XXXX. I'm sorry to share that I'm going to step aside, as I unfortunately didn't feel compelled by the material on that heart and gut level you'd want your agent to have—and that you deserve.
On the same day I received a Yahoo email (obviously created by AI) that was titled "Agent Unavailable for Query" and said: "The agent at Azantian Literary Agency found no compelling emotional material in your query for XXXX and has stepped aside, expressing gratitude for your submission and wishing you the best in finding a suitable home for your work." Somehow this message sounds much worse to me - lacking in any kind of emotional feeling, or politeness.
