Behind on workload. Now that it's fully closed that makes sense. ( I applied when it was still open.)

Replied in under thirty days which is a great response time, I think.

Fantasy 95,000 words.

"Dear Atticus,
Thank you so much for sending this query. I appreciate all the time you took to fill out the form. I am so sorry it took me so long to respond!
I have recently had to hold off taking on any new clients until I can successfully handle the workload of my existing client base. So I am afraid I have to pass at this point. I apologize for the response. I hate that I have to decline queries based on workload.
I appreciate how hard querying is and I wish you the best of luck with your future efforts.
Thank you, Amy"

She is on the site. Directly from the agent page: “Amy is closed to new queries until further notice. She will continue to read submissions from conferences and through referrals.”

Her query Amy site says she's closed to queries and she's not listed on Talcott Notch any longer. P.S. She does mostly non-fiction with one sci-fi in May, of her long list of non-fic.

Amy contacted me via Twitter and invited me to send her my pitch and first chapter, which was very kind of her. Sent work across on 19/8/21.
Full manuscript request - 10th September 2021, sent same day.

Patrick - I just received a rejection saying she had a full client list - so maybe she opened her form in error?

True TeeKayEm, but she also just opened her QueryManager form.

As of writing this, her twitter (@askamycollins), her website, and the Talcott Notch Literary website all say she's still closed (except to referrals and conference/event requests).

Form queried 3/17.
Got an email 6/23 letting me know was passing because her client base was already too full. It was a very kind rejection letter and I'm glad that it didn't come specifically because she wasn't interested...but it was a bit disappointing to have waited over a hundred days for response like this one. Ah well, on to the next.

6/22/2021 - Sent a nice email rejection. She said she had too much of a workload & couldn't take on another project right now. It was helpful to know that it wasn't about my project or my work. She sounds like a nice person. I would recommend trying this agent when she opens to queries again.

Although I had CNR'd her, I did finally receive an email today saying that she has to decline queries now because her workload with her existing clients is too demanding.
