Thank you so much for sending along your project XXX and for considering me as a possible agent for this work. I have so much appreciation for every writer in this process who trusts me enough to read through something so important to them.

I spent some time thinking about the potential of your story and my own expertise in relation to a potential partnership. I read each query with my own list in mind and specific genres I have a need for, and at this moment, I truly believe I am not the right agent for this project at this time. I am currently looking for a few specific stories, and this one isn't quite what I know I can take on right now. This isn't to say that your work isn't incredible and wonderful, but it is to say that I know I can't bring it the level of enthusiasm and attention it deserves.

This is a subjective reaction based on what I currently have on my list and the work I have coming up. I sincerely hope you continue to pursue your writing with other agents who rep more widely and I would love to be considered for future work.

Thank you for querying me. I hope you find a home for this soon!
