Kind rejection after 26 days

Haley seems like a very thoughtful and considerate agent who i hope to query again and the feedback is actionable. Rejection message after a 50 page partial, a customised version of a very good personable template:

I appreciate you taking the time to send me your work, and I'm grateful to have been given the opportunity to read these pages. Unfortunately, while there's some lovely prose in these pages, I ultimately felt that the focus on descriptions and language kept me at a bit too much of a distance from the immediacy of XX's emotions and what she truly understood about the revisions and erasure. Without those details drawing me further into the stakes, I'm sorry to say that I don't think the project is the right fit for me at this time.

Since it's imperative that you find an agent who's as passionate about your story as you are, I hope you'll continue seeking the right representation for your manuscript. There are a great number of options and opinions in the industry, and I know another agent will feel differently about taking on what you've created.

If you find yourself with a new project that needs an agent in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out again. Thank you for thinking of me, and best of luck with your search!

Sincerely,
Haley Casey

I'm honored to be one of the agents you considered to represent your manuscript. Unfortunately, while this is such an intriguing premise, I'm not in love with the sample pages enough to feel like the project's best champion, and so I'm going to pass.

I hope you'll continue revising and submitting your query package, as there are a great number of options and opinions in the industry, and I'm sure another will feel differently about all of your hard work.

Thank you for thinking of me!
