Speculative dystopian
My first query cycle ever. Ernie Chiara has been on my list for a long time, and I waited to start querying when he was open. I was astonished at the incredibly swift polite form rejection. I believe this is practically unheard of in the industry, and appreciate the sensitivity that the agent has shown. I guess they say "you never forget the first time", and I will not forget the relief of receiving something so quickly rather than a CNR months later on the first query.
Definitely good to query!
