whitelilac29, QM does have a withdraw option. You’ll find it on your query status page in the “Contact” menu.

Six months after submitting my requested manuscript, and one month after nudging, I decided to withdraw. To be frank, I wasn't surprised to CNR. Kirsten became an agent less than a year ago. While most new agents are eager to network with other publishing professionals online and put themselves out there to find clients, Kirsten's agency profile links to a Twitter account with some retweets spaced months apart, and she has a writing-related blog with no new posts since Fall 2020. Of course literary agents can be successful without spending their lives on social media, but from what she chooses to share with the public, she just doesn't seem to be embracing the job with enthusiasm.

I'm grateful to have had the chance to take a look at it and I appreciate your patience. I really loved the premise of this book--it's so strong. Unfortunately, it just does not fit perfectly with my needs at this time so I have to pass. I do absolutely encourage you to continue looking for representation because what doesn't work for one agent (or publisher) might work for another. I wish you the best of luck in your search.

Queried her on August 23d.
Received two rejections from her on October 8th.
The first one said she doesn't accept YA (my book is not YA), the second one had an apology for sending me the wrong email and had a standard "this is just not for me" thing after it. At least she made me smile at all this, I'll give her that)
