I can't say anything but great things about Elisa. Throughout the experience with her, she made time and put in energy to reinforce that her pass was not because of me or my story but because of what she believed she could do for it—she wants to be a better advocate for fantasy stories before representing them. This is the kind of thoughtful and compassionate anyone would be lucky to have!

I don't feel like tracking down my query date, but Ms. Saphier requested a partial on Nov 7, 2023, and I sent it to her. Today she sent me a lovely note.
"Thanks for your patience. Now that I've read more of this, I think I see that this is a book that I'd love to pick up in a store, but that I wouldn't be best suited to help get to that point, unfortunately. Truly, this isn't about your manuscript, it's about my connections and ability. I think this is great and I can't wait to see you land this elsewhere. I'm definitely sorry to have to pass on it. Thanks for considering me in the first place, and good luck."
