I pitched 100k memoir on 9.12.26 and she asked for full. She came off as very knowledgable and friendly so I'm really hoping for this one. Fingers crossed!

103k LGBTQIA+ weird fantasy
Shannon solicited my query as a result of a pitch event (April 29, 2026); my letter was already in Jen Azantian's inbox on a solicitation, so I let Shannon know politely that that was the case and did she still want to see the package? She said yes, but that I didn't need to submit anything additional, she'd talk to Jen. April 30, 2026, received a polite pass from Jen saying Shannon will be taking a look at the query and sample materials instead; got a full request from Shannon that evening.
Notified of offer of rep May 25, 2026

Q: 9/18/25 after a like from a pitch event
Partial req a day later.
Received a lovely and personalized rejection about 200 days later with a note apologizing for the long wait. The rejection articulated issues I'd also noted in the manuscript in a very kind way, alongside some very nice words about what did work well with it. Shannon seems absolutely lovely to work with, and I'm looking forward to querying her again in the future.
