"Thank you for submitting your query for XXXX to Corvisiero Literary Agency and allowing us to consider it. Although we found great qualities within your query letter and synopsis, we didn't connect with the sample pages as strongly as we had hoped to be the champion that this project deserves.

Due to the sheer number of queries that we receive, we are not always able to provide more specific feedback for every author. However, we highly recommend viewing–if you haven't already–BookEnds Literary Agency's Youtube channel for valuable advice on the querying process and the business of publishing from an agent's perspective: https://www.youtube.com/@BookEndsLiterary. Carly Watters, another literary agent, also offers great resources on her website.

Please keep in mind that this industry is incredibly subjective, and our response is solely one agency's opinion. We strongly encourage you to query other agents because one may love your story just the way it is! Thank you again for providing us the opportunity to review your writing, and we hope that you will keep us in mind for future projects.

Warm regards,

Adam Cyzner
Literary Manager Assistant | Corvisiero Literary Agency"

Personalized Rejection: 5/23/23

Dark Fantasy, 106k

I got a really kind, detailed personalized rejection saying that they took interest in my letter and synopsis but did not connect with my pages. They even went as far as to tell me the problems they found with my opening pages and provide resources. I believe it was written by an assistant, but nonetheless it was lovely to receive some feedback. Would query again!

11 days later: rejection letter from Micah -- very encouraging and personal. Too bad, she was the top of my list...maybe next time.
