FQ: August 10th, to Tessa Shaffer
Semi-Personalized Rejection: September 15th, from Micah Brocker
It's a rare thing to get any kind of feedback on queries these days, so I'm so grateful for this response. It's encouraging to know that the query/synopsis I've been using made an agent want to read the pages, and it's pretty invaluable to get some evidence that the concept sparked someone's interest, even if they ended up passing. I also really appreciated feedback re: the opening pages and why she didn't connect, and I'll be looking again at my first few chapters with this in mind.

@VLBuckland mentioned Alexandra Grana, and I'd like to query her, but I can't find her listed on Query Tracker, though she does have a query manager form. Am I overlooking her here, @Patrick?

Adam Cyzer sent me a thoughtful, insightful rejection with suggestions for how I can make the book more marketable. Psychological Memoir, 90K.
