Query: 2/25/25
Received what I thought was a rejection (because it's a month later!), but is actually just a confirmation email, on 3/19/25:
Dear Author,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to consider your work. If I would like to read more of your manuscript or discuss representation, I’ll respond as soon as I’m able. If you haven’t heard from me within eight weeks of the date of your submission, I don’t feel that I’d be its best advocate, and I hope your work makes it into the hands of the right partner soon. I wish that I could respond to every submission individually, but the volume of work submitted makes that impossible.
Sincerely,
Elise
