Edit - never mind, I did receive that autoreply, I just couldn’t find it at first in my email.

@Christopher_Loop interesting - I didn’t receive this auto reply, and my novel is speculative. So yeah, it might be something she only sends to people who query outside of those genres.

@unreliable_narrator, I also received this reply but queried fantasy

Q: 10/26/2026 with upmarket / literary fiction 81.6k. The agency web site says she accepts upmarket and the "genres" tab on this site says she accepts literary fiction.

I received the below autoreply:

Because I see neither upmarket nor literary fiction listed in her reply as genres she will actually consider, I am thinking "this will be [my] only response"...
