@danvshea: Here's what it says in the agency submission guidelines:

"Each agent does their best to respond in a timely manner. We aim to respond within an 8-12 week window. At the 12 week mark, please feel free to follow up with the agent. If 12 weeks pass and you receive no response, you can submit to another ALA agent."

So, I'd say if you've passed 12 weeks, send a nudge via Query Manager (On the Agent Profile Click <View on Query Manager> Then: Top Menu [Contact]=>Contact Agent. In the Send a Message to This Agent dialog, select [Other]) Make it a polite note that says something like, "I'm writing to inquire about my query submittted <date>. Is it still under consideration, or should I consider it rejected?" Wait a week or so for a response, and if you don't get one, query another agent.

My query to Roma P is about to time out and convert to CNR. I'm hoping to query someone else at the same agency, but can't while the query is still 'under consideration.'

My question: If a query is changed to CNR, is that query officially 'dead,' and then I'd be free to resubmit to another agent there?
