Good morning,

Anyone that read my earlier comments will see I've deleted them. I would like to offer up a word of advise.

It is very easy to get pulled in, responding to other comments whether they surprise, shock, interest you or otherwise. This is a trap. Whether you're right or wrong in what you say, there are those that will try to disparage you.

The last thing an agent wants is static on their site.
Stick to the facts.

MLBesold, I'm sure you meant well but just because someone has an opportunity you don't doesn't mean they have to pursue it. With your analogy, that would be the same as someone reconsidering the items in their cart and deciding they simply don't have the time, and leaving. That happens. You can go right ahead and continue to wait in line (along with plenty of us).

Bethany is *wonderful* I don't think anyone is debating that. However, she also works with plenty of self-published authors and I would expect her to be understanding of Elizabeth's decision. But to choose to lightly chastise someone for pursuing the path that feels right for them simply because it's not yours...isn't great. And who's to say Bethany won't request or consider someone else's work more fully now due to a lighter workload? Elizabeth choosing to withdraw only benefits everyone involved. Let's support writers and the paths best for them.
