1/26: Rejection with notes for extensive edits and an invitation to resubmit.
6/5: Contacted Kate about the revised draft, and she said to re-query the "query" e-mail.

I suspect she requested the full on a whim since my manuscript had to reach to brush against her requested genres. Still, not hearing back after the invitation to resubmit and after making the revisions hurts the pride. Especially since the proffered editorial advice struck me as personal--as in: to match what she would've done had she written the novel--and required some fundamental changes to the structure of the narrative, I feel disappointed not to receive even a "thanks but no thanks".
