Morgan apparently loved the partial, but said there'd be too much editor overlap between me and another client! But, I so recommend querying them; they seem like a great agent !! :)

It's kinda crazy out there with querying right now. Long response times, no responses, ghosting, etc. It runs the gambit. Gotta give a shoutout to agents like Morgan who respect querying writers.

I requeried due to DVPit after an initial personalized pass. Morgan passed again but the feedback was thoughtful and kind. They really like to sink deep into character and my openings pages kept the MC too at arm's length for their preference.

Another rejection, but one made softer by the genuine, personalized feedback on why, which I greatly appreciate. After so many form rejections, this gave me new focus and hope to keep going.

Even though I received a rejection, I’m happy because the agent gave me a personalized response, mentioning that they appreciated the concept of my book. Unfortunately, my writing style didn’t quite match their taste, but they encouraged me to keep going, as another agent might enjoy it. It gave me hope, because it shows that my work has potential.
