Q transferred: 7/01 --- 90k sapphic ya cozy romantasy
Partial request!!! (50 pgs) 7/20/26
Kind personalized rejection 8/18! They prefer slower starts.
Q sent 7/01 --- 78k sapphic cozy fantasy romance 2.0
Partial request!! 8/10/26
FULL REQUEST 8/19/26!!! submitted 8/20
Q sent 7/01 with referral --- 84k M/M romantasy
So this is a funny one. Q sent to Amy, was on the maybe list for about 3 months, then got a #QueerPit like from Morgan for both my querying novels. Coincidentally, I also had a referral after a pitch to Morgan for another manuscript I'd made edits to. With so much interest from Morgan, but stuck on the maybe list with Amy after multiple nudges, I messaged Morgan on Bsky and asked "What the heck should I do?"
They responded quickly, and they got Amy to transfer the query. Then Morgan asked to see everything.
Coincidentally, Morgan had requested a partial of (and rejected) one of the manuscripts before I did a major revision, citing the problems that I focused on in the rewrite.
Regardless of how this turns out, I just thought it was a fun querying story to share, and moral of the story is: when in doubt, ask!

Polite Rejection 8/16/26
"Thank you so much for querying me with ****. Unfortunately, your project isn't a great fit for me at this time, so I'm going to pass. I know this can be frustrating to hear, but another agent may feel differently. This is entirely my personal tastes, so please keep querying and trying other agents!
Thank you again for querying me and please feel free to query me in the future!"
Such kindness is always appreciated, even if it is a rejection.
