Query: 12/3
Rejected: 12/4
75k contemporary fantasy rom-com. Honestly thrilled to have a rejection with some personalization in it. Bummed it wasn't her cup of tea, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for my other submissions. Good luck to everyone else. I hope others get better news!
Thank you for approaching me about your novel [TITLE REDACTED]. I loved your pitch so dove into the material straight away, however I am sorry to say that after reading your pages with interest, I have decided not to offer you representation. While there was lots to admire in your writing, which is fun and fast-paced, I’m afraid that I just didn’t feel strongly enough about these pages to think that I would be the best advocate for your work.
I hope you find an agent who feels differently and wish you the best of luck with your other submissions.

Email was professional but stated she read pages of my work when their submission instructions did not ask to send in pages of manuscript, only query letter, so that is what I did. Probably a copy and paste email.
