Thank you for your query and for letting me have a look at your work. I apologize for the impersonal nature of this email but I receive so many queries that it makes it impossible for me to respond personally to each one. Thank you for your patience.
Unfortunately, I don’t feel that this is right for me, so I’m passing. Just because I wasn’t quite drawn in, however, doesn’t mean there isn’t another agent out there who will love it. I encourage you to continue to submit elsewhere.
Thanks again for thinking of me, and I wish you all the best in your endeavors.

Please be advised that your initial query is still in the queue.
Best,
I emailed back saying thank you but I wanted to say "Take your time because I'm not in a rush for a rejection" XD I don't know if they would find that funny. XD

Personal Note: I'd prefer a cut-and-paste rejection over being ghosted, however... Idk about you all, but I hate the "Just because I didn't like it, doesn't mean someone else won't like it! I imagine the Literary agent, shoving my work into my chest, turning me around, and pushing me out the door when they say "I encourage you to continue to submit elsewhere." and under their breath "but defiantly not here because I think your work is awful... I'm not going to tell you that."
That's just a pet peeve of mine, but it is what it is. I wish all of you good luck.
Something nice to hear: Stay strong. One day you will be able to look back and say, "I made it." -unknown author

Literary 70k--I read his book "The Emotional Craft of Fiction" for my Ph.D. qualifying exam last semester and LOVED his way of describing emotion in narrative. So, now that my dissertation/novel is ready to query, I knew I wanted to send it to him, even if it's a long shot.
