I really appreciated how quickly Krista got back to me with, alas, a rejection. It was clear from her comments that she had read the query--and more than that, had several clear ways I might improve for future queries. Thank you Krista!

I received the nicest rejection letter from Krista. She obviously understands the stress of querying. Anyone lucky enough to be represented by her is in good hands.

Queried april 23, rejected April 24
92K YA speculative romance
Krista gave a very helpful rejection letter with extremely insightful and helpful feedback about my actual story, which means she read the opening pages. She is worried because my book takes place in ths 90s that it might be a harder sell in today's children's space (YA) and gave me an idea to slightly tweak my opening, which is very invaluable advice. I am very grateful she took the time to actually write me this feedback..I appreciate that immensely!
Good luck to everyone else ❤️
On to the next. Hopefully someone gets the 90s setting, I PROMISE it will hit👌 lol

I appreciated the quick turn around time for her response and, like others have stated, she did provide me with some specific feedback. It was really nice to know that she had definitely read the query in its entirety and the feedback were things I had pondered myself so its reaffirming, and something I'm definitely going to take into consideration moving forward. :)
