P.S. This one was super close for me, as I found aspects of this concept intriguing and your opening pages make it clear that you're a strong writer. My concern is that it felt like the first plot summary paragraph and the second plot summary paragraph were describing two different books, so I worried that the story may end up feeling disjointed.
