I also referred to Nina as Ms. and just received a request. I think they must be quite forgiving if people make mistakes.

Nina uses they/them pronouns which I missed in my query letter (for which i got a rejection) when I addressed them as “Ms. Richner.” The correct salutation, I believe, would be “M. Richner” or even just “Dear Nina Richner.” Although I don’t think it had anything to do with their rejection of my 72,000 LGBTQ+ focused memoir, I have a non-binary child and i deeply respect people’s choices.
