Hey @selinn92, agents have so many different ways of working through queries! If he's catching up, he might be going through looking for a particular genre, or perhaps eliminating larger wordcounts or things he's less interested in/too similar to current projects. You never really know, QT is great to kind of peel back the veil but you'll drive yourself cuckoo if you try to apply a general rule or pattern!

Maybe withdrawing is too hasty. It looks like Josh is actually working backwards, from newer to older queries. Unusual, but could result in a response. I'm going to keep track of it and see if it's a fluke or a trend.

@Kjayef I queried on October 18th and politely nudged January 2nd (about 75 days later) per the auto reply that said to nudge after two months. It's been a week and I haven't heard anything back but I'm not holding my breath given Josh currently has a 3.4% query reply rate (according to the Quick Stats overview) and the holiday season is still winding down in the publishing world.
Updated 1/24 if anyone is curious: Josh has responded to the most recently submitted queries (from the last day he was open and presumably pitch contest queries sent after that) since my comment but has not replied to my nudge or initial query. It looks like he's mostly interested in queries solicited from pitch events so if you cold queried Josh and are waiting on a response before querying another FinePrint agent, you might want to consider withdrawing.

@SixOfRobins Also, I feel most if not all of his replies are for stuff he requested through social media pitching events.
