@IFermont, I'm in the same boat. I assume she got a bunch of SFF and realized she's not interested (or, possibly, has enough SFF authors already?). If one of the other agents would be a better fit, withdraw the query under the assumption she's not going to be interested. If not, well...you followed the rules as they were when you queried. So it's up to her. But given a 13% *response* rate, assume it's a no anyway and that you probably won't hear from her in any case. At least, that's what I'll be doing. (I assume having only Magical Realism listed as a sub-genre of fantasy means a modest willingness to consider speculative elements in otherwise non-SFF projects, so I think we agree on that one.)

This agent removed sci-fi and are now restricting fantasy to magical realism (which, in the particular case of Query Tracker, always felt like code for ultra-grounded Fantasy rather than something in the tradition of Garcia Marquez). Is it the case of withdrawing my genre piece which I submitted before the change of genres listed?
