Queried: 3/3
Rejection: 3/4
Nice personalized rejection: “However, I should say that the strength of your concept did draw me in, and I considered your sample. Offering representation is not just extremely subjective and dependent on taste, it's hopefully the start of a long partnership as well, so I have to love a project completely. Someone else just might be the better fit, and I want to encourage you to keep at it.”

A one sentence rejection after spending over an hour compiling and personalizing a query is unacceptable...especially within minutes and it syncs up with an MSWL. At least use the name of the title of the work and the author's name and any one of many pre-written rejection letters. To ascend to be an agent but lack common decency is bizarre. We can all take a no, rejections are common and I've been writing all my adult life, but let's not be rude. This is for a partnership after all.
