R: 07/16 added some really kind, personalized feedback and an invite to submit other work/R&R in addition to the more general rejection letter I've seen some others post on here. Really appreciate her time and energy! I hope she finds what she's looking for!

Adult fantasy 115k
Partial request: 5/22/26
Fingers crossed

Update 7/14: Partial was rejected. She had wonderful things to say about my manuscript and there were no edits or suggestions, but she said it felt more high fantasy and that was a little out of her realm to properly take it on. I’m pretty sure she did remove epic/high fantasy off her list of genres that she represents. Overall it was very kind and respectful.

So, I submitted a 133K Epic mythic Adult Fantasy. Olivia said she really like it and loved the concept, but wanted to see it without the prologue and resubmit. Wonderful. I reworked the opening, did another round of tightening and line-by-line pass for edits, got it down to 128K. Resubmitted. Within ten min, she sent back a form letter saying thank you for submitting but she would pass...only the letter was for someone else and another book. So, I politely sent her a message saying I think she made a mistake and sent the letter to the wrong person, reminding her who I was and my book's title. Within two minutes, she sent back an apology and said that while she loved the revisions and felt it was a great concept, and she really felt grounded in the story from the five pages she asked for... she then said she has decided, since I first submitted - less then a month ago, not to rep. Fantasy any longer and wished me luck. Ok, fair.

Then I look today and discover she has not only got Fantasy listed, she has every type of fantasy to submit for.

Make of that what you will.

I will refrain from submitting to this agency. She seems lovely, did say it was a hard day, but this felt off. I thank her for her feedback and kind encouragement, though.
