Campton, Donadio & Olson's bookkeeper just got arrested for multi-million dollar embezzlement. Might have something to do with that. Writers like Chuck Palahniuk are "close to broke" because of it. I doubt this company will be taking queries for a while... if they survive this scandal.

Campton, you might be right. Sort of mixed signals to me.

I got the same response as KristenH below on the same date--"We regret to inform you of our decision to no longer accept or take submissions for the foreseeable future."
This suggests they are closed to subs, but on their website they say, "Donadio & Olson, Inc. is always looking for new work." Maybe the rejection is their way of saying don't ever bother us again.

I was confused by their submission policy, submitted to them through a form that I thought was for queries too. Next day he reached out to me to say that my query can be sent through their online form or email. My bad, but their website is pretty confusing.

What seemed like a nice, individualized reply, I new see from other comments, is the standard phrasing for rejection.

7/29, I've queried Neil for Chain Reaction. Today I nudged him and got a response--he said it's not something they can successfully represent at this time. Oh well.
