PW 2015 is over and I did not get picked. Back to querying. I will mail him my query on Tuesday, 9/8.

John, I didn't get picked either for Pitch Wars. I did get feedback and will resume querying next week. There are other contests going on this fall.

Mr. Schmidt was my agent for a nonfiction book about the Cold War in 1988-1989.Harold is a hard worker, really cares about his clients, and is an overall great guy. He has what all agents should have: access to the big publishers. And we hit every one of them with my manuscript, but in the late 80s they all passed because they said the Cold War is dead. (Go tell that to The Americans!)
Anyway, I suspect that he is now closed to queries because he is so damn big and successful. I might query him anyway by mail because I was a former client.
Any writer that has Harold on his/her team is damn lucky.
