I just checked out the books listed on the agency's website for this agent. (2023-03-22)

Most of them are YA / MG, Romance, Female MC, and often involve "magic".

Nothing wrong with any of that, of course. But if your book doesn't seem to fit with this, you might look elsewhere.

MG Contemporary

I loved the concept here and the voice and writing are working really well. Unfortunately, I had some trouble connecting to the world building and the pacing. I found myself losing steam with it and couldn't quite get grounded in the tensions & stakes here. Given that, and the fact that I'm being extremely selective in Children's fiction these days, I don't feel that I would be your most effective advocate--so unfortunately this is a pass from me, but I wish you the best of luck, and hope you'll feel free to query me again in the future!

This is the second time this has happened to me with this agency. Not sure they received or saw the request to withdraw.

99k Fantasy Romance

Rejection was a BCCed mass email.

“Thank you for the opportunity to consider your work, but I am sorry to say that I do not think this material would be right for me, and therefore I would not make your most effective advocate. Please remember this is just one agent’s opinion, and there may well be other agents who feel differently.

I apologize for the form reply & batched email, but the volume of queries I receive means that individual replies are impossible. This is the only way to ensure that every query gets a timely evaluation and response, and I appreciate your understanding.

Thank you for thinking of me, and best of luck to you.”
